St. Louis Grammar School, Kilkeel, is a co-educational Specialist School in Technology and Computing that caters for pupils aged 11-18. We have over 590 pupils on roll which includes a thriving sixth form. We offer a broad range of subjects at all Key Stages including GCSEs and Post-16 qualifications including A Levels, Applied courses and BTECs. Pupils come from the surrounding area: Kilkeel, Warrenpoint, Annalong, Newcastle, Castlewellan, Hilltown, Mayobridge and Rostrevor. Our expert staff offer the full range of STEM subjects - Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Computing.

Unit 8.2 - e-Safety and Online Communication
In this course you will learn how to use the VLE, know what 'Netiquette' is, and begin to understand how to protect yourself whilst online. You will create a publication electronically based on the theme of e-communication and e-safety. You will use online software called "Prezi" to do this. You will give your presentation to the class.

AS2 (Revised) Russia 1903-1941
The focus of this module is on Russia 1903-1941. Content includes the causes and consequences of the 1905 Revolution, Lenin and the Revolution 1917-1924, Stalin and the Revolution 1924-1941.
GCSE History - Controlled Assessment
Controlled Assessment is worth 25% of your final mark. It will be completed in Term 1 of Year 12. Please note that the questions for Controlled Assessment change every year.
GCSE History - Paper 1
This paper focuses on Germany 1918-1941 and Britain, Northern Ireland and Ireland 1932-1949. The paper lasts for 2 hours and you will sit the exam at the end of Yr11. It is worth 50% of your overall mark.
GCSE History - Paper 2
This paper assesses candidates’ outline knowledge of significant events,developments and personalities associated with the Cold War and its resolution c1945–c1991. This paper lasts for 1hr 15mins and you will take the exam at the end of Yr12. It is worth 25% of your final mark.
Year 8 History
The theme of this course is 'Identity'. This includes units of work on the following: What is History? My Identity, School History and the impact of the Normans coming to Ireland.
Year 9 History
The theme of this course is on significant events between 1500 and 1900. This includes units of work on Henry VIII, the Ulster Plantation, the Gunpowder Plot, Revolution and the Famine.
Year 10 History
The theme of this course is the Twentieth Century. This includes units of work on a 20th theme (e.g. music, fashion, sport), siginificant events and individuals (e.g. the Holocaust and the Berlin Wall), The reasons for and consequences of the Partition of Ireland.

The focus of this course is on the Government and Politics of Northern Ireland from 1994 to the present day. Topics include the arrangements for government of NI from 1994 (Direct Rule and Devolution), the startegies and policies of the main NI political parties, the changes in electoral support for the main parties and the political effects of the main electoral systems used in NI.
